Terms of Service
Effective Date: February 19, 2026
Last Updated: February 19, 2026
Welcome to Detectee ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", "our"), operated by SYNDICATE E-COMMERCE s.r.o. By accessing or using our forensic AI detection platform at detectee.co, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance and Agreement
1.1 Binding Agreement
By creating an account, accessing, or using Detectee, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. This constitutes a legally binding contract between you and SYNDICATE E-COMMERCE s.r.o.
1.2 Eligibility
The Service is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract and that you are not a person barred from receiving services under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction.
2. Forensic Analysis & AI Liability
2.1 Nature of AI Outputs
Detectee Lens utilizes advanced neural architectures, deep-learning models, and forensic VLMs (Visual Language Models). You acknowledge that AI technology is probabilistic by nature and prone to varying degrees of confidence. We do not guarantee the 100% accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any analysis. Our Service provides "forensic indicators" and probability scores which are for informational purposes only.
2.2 No Responsibility for AI Content
We are not responsible or liable for any content, verdicts, summaries, or indicators generated by the AI. You understand that AI may occasionally "hallucinate" or produce inaccurate, biased, or incomplete information. Any reliance on AI-generated output is strictly at your own risk. The analysis results do not constitute professional, legal, or expert testimony advice.
2.3 User-Assumed Risk and Action
Detectee shall not be held liable for any damages—including but not limited to reputational damage, legal consequences, or financial loss—resulting from the use or public disclosure of our analysis results. You are solely responsible for verifying the results through independent forensic methods before taking any action, including but not limited to public statements or legal proceedings.
3. Provider Protection & Limitation of Liability
3.1 Service "As-Is"
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
3.2 Limitation of Liability
In no event shall SYNDICATE E-COMMERCE s.r.o., its directors, employees, or third-party AI providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform. This remains true even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the last 12 months.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Ownership
The Service, including its design, forensic algorithms, software, trademarks, logos, and code, is the exclusive property of SYNDICATE E-COMMERCE s.r.o. and its licensors. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access the Service according to your subscription.
4.2 Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying source code or algorithms.
- Use the Service to build a competing product or service.
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
4.3 Publicity
Unless you notify us otherwise in writing, we may use your name and logo to identify you as a customer of Detectee in our marketing materials and on our website.
5. Subscription Tiers and Billing
5.1 Billing and Subscriptions
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. By providing a payment method, you expressly authorize us, and our third-party payment processor (Stripe), to charge the applicable fees to your designated payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing cycle. All fees paid are non-refundable, except where strictly required by applicable law (such as the EU 14-day withdrawal right for digital services, provided the service has not been fully performed or consumed).
5.2 Payment Configuration
We use Stripe to securely process all subscription payments. Detectee does not directly process, store, or transmit your raw credit card information. By initiating a subscription, you also agree to be bound by Stripe's applicable Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
5.2 Subscription Tiers
- Free: 2 scans/day, 15/mo. Standard priority.
- Pro: $7.90/mo for 200 scans. High priority.
- Max: $19.90/mo for 1,000 scans. Pro priority.
- Ultra: $49.90/mo for "Unlimited*" scans. Forensic priority.
5.3 Ultra Tier Internal Limit
*The Ultra plan is labeled as "Unlimited" for standard commercial and personal use. To maintain platform stability and prevent infrastructure abuse, an internal technical limit of 3,000 requests per month is enforced. Usage exceeding this may trigger a manual review or temporary throttling.
6. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the scanner.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the forensic pipeline.
- Circumvent usage limits or subscription boundaries.
- Use the service for illegal surveillance, harassment, or to generate harmful content.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and without prior notice. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to, violations of these Terms or suspected fraudulent activity.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes shall be resolved through the competent courts of Prague.
